Schneider Electric launches AI‑powered Resource Advisor+ to unify corporate decarbonisation efforts

Schneider Electric’s consulting arm, SE Advisory Services, has unveiled Resource Advisor+, an AI‑driven energy and sustainability intelligence platform designed to unite emissions and energy management, supply‑chain sustainability, climate risk and reporting within a single ecosystem. According to SE Advisory Services, the platform is intended to replace fragmented tools and siloed datasets with an “intelligent command centre” that unifies data and accelerates decision‑making for corporate decarbonisation programmes.

The company says Resource Advisor+ is powered by AI‑driven workflows and that its recently launched AI agent, “Sera”, will act as the lead assistant across the platform to help detect anomalies, run calculations, flag risks and recommend strategies. The platform debuts with two core products: Carbon Performance, which the company describes as providing auditable, GHG Protocol–aligned calculations across Scope 1, 2 and 3 to support target‑setting, scenario modelling and emissions‑reduction programme management; and Supply Chain, the offering initially launched last year as Zeigo Hub to engage suppliers, build bespoke decarbonisation programmes and track progress at the individual‑supplier level.

For industrial decarbonisation teams, the consolidation of measurement, engagement and planning tools into a single environment could reduce manual reconciliation work and improve traceability of Scope 3 reductions. Schneider Electric positions Resource Advisor+ as an evolution of its EcoStruxure portfolio: industry materials show EcoStruxure Resource Advisor already aggregates cross‑enterprise energy and sustainability data, while other EcoStruxure modules handle on‑site energy orchestration and microgrid controls. The new platform appears intended to knit those capabilities together with a stronger AI layer and supplier engagement functionality.

The company has signalled further expansion: SE Advisory Services says it will add two more product families to Resource Advisor+ later this year, targeting climate‑risk and reporting and compliance, and energy management and efficiency. That roadmap aligns with market demand for integrated platforms that can both quantify financial and physical climate risks and feed regulatory and voluntary disclosure processes.

Schneider Electric’s earlier moves into conversational and generative AI for sustainability workflows provide additional context. The firm previously announced EcoStruxure Resource Advisor Copilot, a Large Language Model‑based tool intended to assist business leaders in querying enterprise energy and sustainability data and producing visualisations and decision support. According to those earlier announcements, Copilot was developed to reduce time spent on manual data retrieval and synthesis, capabilities that map directly to the objectives stated for Sera within Resource Advisor+.

Industry players and customers will watch whether the platform delivers on two key tests: first, the accuracy and auditability of Scope 1–3 calculations when applied at scale across complex value chains; and second, the practical effectiveness of supplier engagement tools in driving measurable emissions reductions among smaller, resource‑constrained suppliers. SE Advisory Services emphasises auditable calculations and supplier‑level tracking, but companies implementing Resource Advisor+ will need to validate that the platform’s models and supplier workflows integrate with existing procurement, ERP and sustainability reporting systems.

For firms focused on industrial decarbonisation, the arrival of Resource Advisor+ underscores a broader shift toward combining AI, supplier engagement and integrated energy management to tackle Scope 3 emissions. The company says the platform is available now with the two initial products, and it positions Resource Advisor+ as the next step in Schneider Electric’s long‑running strategy to digitise and automate sustainability operations across buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industry.
